Kat Watson Rehwinkel was raised to believe that there is no greater calling in life than to serve something bigger than yourself. Kat has worked in the public sector for nearly ten years in a variety of positions and industries with the bulk of her experience being in nonprofit development and management, both internationally and locally. Having worked in government, advocacy groups, the private-sector, and several foundations, her well-rounded skill-set has continually grown over time. After receiving concurrent degrees in Arts Administration (focused on nonprofit management) and Business Administration (MBA) from SMU, Kat has refocused her career toward providing strategic leadership, marketing, and development for nonprofit organizations.
Kat has worked with a wide variety of nonprofits in the DFW area, acting as both staff and consultant. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is on the Advocacy Committee for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Being a new mother, Kat also passionately cares about pre/postnatal wellness, supporting other postpartum moms, and helping moms achieve their own goals.
Kat is the proud wife of a loving husband, and mom to a feisty toddler and a tolerant rescue Boxer. She can often be found (toddler in tow) at Katy Trail, White Rock Lake, or eating TexMex. She is excited to funnel her skills, experiences, and passions into the Adaptive Training Foundation and she is humbled to support such an incredible mission.
