Director of Operations
Jamey was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He grew up rooting for the Dodgers, surfing the waves in Redondo and Hermosa Beaches and developed a taste for the southern California climate. His parents moved him and his sister to Grapevine, Texas in 1999. There, Jamey went to high school as a Mustang and played baseball and football and ran track and cross country.
He earned his B.A. in History with a minor in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009. During his time in Austin, he worked full and part-time as a personal trainer, rode on the UT club cycling team and rooted for the Longhorn football and baseball teams.
After graduating, Jamey enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served as a search and rescue swimmer aboard the USS James E Williams (DDG95) stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. During his time on the ship, in addition to being the primary SAR swimmer, Jamey was a member of the security reaction force response team, visit board search and seizure team, drove the ship during escape and evasion maneuvers, rescued Oscar (the man-overboard manikin) numerous times and happily applied several coats of haze-grey paint to the ship’s surface.
After the Navy, Jamey worked as a personal trainer and personal training manager at Equinox. He had the distinct pleasure of working with 30 kind, caring and professional personal trainers that helped him become a better manager and person.
Jamey is currently in the Texas Army National Guard as an airborne infantryman.
Jamey is lucky and privileged to have Marquette as his wife. They spend time together in fitness, watching Texas Longhorn or Dallas Cowboy football games, dinner dates at Princi Italia and at church or Bible studies.
